The Pastor's Wife

The day has finally come. The Rev (also known as my husband) has resigned from his Senior High Youth Pastor position and is now a full time Church Planter. He will be the lead Pastor at Imagine Church launching in Otsego, MN. I am no longer a youth pastor's wife...I have arrived as the "First Lady."

And so begins our next "project," planting a church.

Vemma Product Review

If you are like me you may have never heard of Vemma before. I hadn't until my brother became a distributor for the company. I was a little nervous to try the products because I had had other energy drinks that didn't taste great.

My brother offered me several different things to try.
And let's be honest, I love a try before I buy opportunity!

First up, I tried the Vemma Bod-e Shake in Chocolate Ice Cream {um yes I did just say Chocolate Ice Cream!!}.
chrispowell.com

It's a powder form that is mixed with water or milk. I'm not use to a protein powder so that first time I did it with milk and didn't care for it. However, I doctored it up a bit and loved it! I have made it with milk, banana, and peanut butter. I also made it with milk, spinach and strawberries. Adding the fruit gives it the perfect chocolate/fruit combo. I love having this shake before I head to the gym. OH and did I mention this product is endorsed by Chris and Heidi Powell?! I just adore those two! I love their show, Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition, and I love following them on Facebook. I give this product a thumbs up!

The second item I tried from Vemma was the Vemma Verve Energy Drink.

Vemma Verve drink is a lightly carbonated tropical flavor. LOVED the tropical taste. This drink has low natural sugar but is fully packed with caffeine, 80mg.The refreshing, fast-acting Verve Energy Drink is packed with energy and the antioxidant power of the Vemma formula. Verve delivers insanely healthy energy when you need it most! Dr.Oz also supports this product.
I give this product a thumbs up also!

The last product my brother gave me was Vemma Renew. I have not tried this product yet, but it's on my list for today!

Here is what the website says about this product...Vemma Renew™ is an ultra-premium nutritional beverage featuring plant-sourced silica known to maintain healthy skin, nails and hair. With a refreshing fruit flavor, Vemma Renew provides a convenient and delicious way to get the nutrients your body needs to maintain optimal health. It also has only 45 calories and 5g of all-natural sweeteners, an Anti-aging and immune boosting properties and supports collagen production.
I'm really excited about trying this one especially because it's caffeine free {let's be honest I drink too much caffeine} and it helps maintain healthy skin, nails and hair...epic win!

3. Used 3- 50% off coupons at JoAnn Fabrics. I signed up for their coupons which I get via email, phone, and mailings. And they let you use more than one coupon at a time.

4. I went to get gas at Super America and used my SA Rewards card (just a rewards card...it's totally FREE) and was able to take $.25 off per gallon!! I swipe my card every time we are getting gas or snacks there. They have lots of coupons available, but I save them up for cheaper gas! Plus if you have the card you will always get $.03 off...and sometimes more!

5. For supper we are getting Panda Express...FREE! Get your coupon (good only TODAY 4/17) here

So, there you have it from a Stay-at-home mom on a tight budget. There is always a way to eat out and enjoy things, even on a budget! Stay tuned for the next freebies!

My bad...

Well leave it to me to get a new phone and not know what I am doing with it and end up deleting ALL the photos that have ever been on my blog. Yes, I really did just do that. Now, I could go back through and replace some of them...I don't have all of them anymore. But let's be honest, I am too tired, busy and annoyed to do that!

So, at last we are starting over.

Welcome to my new blog beginning.

Elijah, Elijah, Elijah

I can not believe that in ONE week from today my baby will be 2!!! He is such a little man! Where did the time go? He has been changing so much, even in these past few months.

Here are some of his latest and greatest moments/sayings....

Food:
1. He will only eat the Oreo side that has the frosting. All he does is lick off the frosting and then he is done.
2. He LOVES Peanut Butter sandwiches. Tonight he ate one with an adult fork.
3. He would drink a gallon of milk a day if we let him. He says "mommy, milk" which can sound bad "mommy's milk..." um yeah. Awkward!

4. He enjoys saying "coffee" and pointing to my coffee mug.

Daddy Moments:
1. He LOVES to wrestle with his daddy.
2. He waits in the Bay window and laughs so hard when he sees Josh riding home after work on his bike.
3. He and daddy enjoy walks to see the ducks!

Mommy Moments:
1. When I get home from working or an appointment E will say "mommy home, mommy home."
2. We like to meet up with Kelsey/Elle at the park between our house for play dates.

E Sayings:
1. When we say "love you" he replies with "love you too."
2. He likes to tell Mocha when he is being "naughty".

3. "No hit Elle" (we have to remind him before going to Cousin Elliana's that we are gentle and don't hit.
4. "I scared" This is sad a lot about the dark, the train's horn and the dinosaurs at the MN Zoo.

E Loves:
1. The ZOO.
(Leighton, Elijah, Annie)

2. The park.

3. The church nursery (He says "choo, choo" every time when tell him we are going to church...they have trains in the nursery)
4. PABLO (and Pablo kisses)

5. WATER...he would swim and play in it every day if he could. He has NO fear of the water.

6. His Bible! He asks to read his Bible every night before bedtime.

Elijah entertains us, makes us laugh and boy do we sure love him!

First time for everything...

Wow, has life happened since I last posted! We have had a LOT going on. I am going to start backwards though because we just returned home from our FIRST family vacation spent with my family on Leech Lake at a cabin! The cabin was a little rustic (run by a generator) but was still enjoyable, well mostly when the kids weren't fighting over cars and were napping! :) Okay, Okay, it really was a memorable trip that I know E loved! In fact he is still saying "Grandpa, Grandpa!" E also had many firsts this trip....
